This workshop will include mixed media techniques used in Isobel's new books, Gorgeous Gauze and mixed media methods for Textile Techniques. Books and Vessels will be the focus of this two day workshop.

You will be encouraged to experiment with some of the mixed media techniques explained in Isobel's books, work with the new products, such as: vegetarian silk paper, gauze, specialist hand-made papers from Thailand, insect netting, sheers, threads and fabrics, which all shrink and distort, plus waxes and pastes.

This workshop promises to be an exciting adventure for those interested in mixed media and stitch. All levels of ability.

Have fun learning to experiment and develop new techniques with all the lastest materials for surface decoration and 3D work.

You will discover the joys of Lutrador, heavy pelmet Vilene plus, Lamifix and much more.

We will be colouring and layering various products to create amazing textures and effects to stitch into hand or machine.

Extreme surfaces for stitch £70-00 two days plus materials

A chance for you to develop and explore the lastest materials and revisit old ones. Create a portfolio of considered stitched samples on new layered surfaces.

Use heat processes, dyes, hand and machine stitch. Experiment with new and exciting surfaces that have been created with heat guns and soildering irons.

Course suitable for all levels.
